His father's Dukedom having been forfeited in 14S5, he was er. 1 Feb. 1513/4, DUKE OF NORFOLK, with the precedency [ 1 39 7 j rtf any former IJuke of Norfolk, on which day he resijned the Earldom of Surrey in favour of his s. and h. ap. He sat in pari, as such Earl, together with the Duke, his father, on whose death, 21 May 1524, he beeame DtiKK OF Norfolk ; was attainted 20 Jan. 1046/7 when all his !* ,5 honours were forfeited, but was restored 3 Aug. 1553.
