Baron Abbott of Tenterden, or of Hendon, Baron 7'euterden, or Baron Hendon, would any of them have been unobjectionable, but to style a town ' oj ' a village is past endurance. SVe are not prepared to say that the case is unprecedented, as probably among modern heraldic anomalies somt nearly parallel example might be found, but we hesitate not to assert that Baron London of Kotherhithe, or [Baron] Westminster of Lambeth would be no more ridiculous."
