K.G. at York, 20 Apr. and inv. Aug. 1642, at Nottingham (installation dispensed with, at Oxford, 2 Mar. 1644/5, ^^ ^^^ being personally installed till 22 Apr. 1663); Gen. of the Horse 1642. On 24 Jan. 1643/4, he was cr. (by his uncle, Charles I) "EARL OF HOLDERNESS, co.
