Smiting, thou wast smitten.
Ismene.
Slaying, thou wast slain.
Antigone.
Thou with spear didst slaughter.
Ismene.
Thee the spear laid low.
Antigone.
In thy toil most wretched.
Ismene.
Wretched in thy woe.
Antigone.
Pour forth lamentations.
Ismene.
Mourners, weep amain.
Antigone.
Prostrate lies the slayer.

Near him lies the slain.
