making every possible allowance for correction, are so various and far-reaching, that they demand a separate investigation. It is sufficient now simply to allude to such problems as Socialism and the relations of labour and capital (in the narrow sense); national education of all kinds; and, finally, the nature of the progress of civilisation in its historical aspects, as indicated by the growth of 'living capital.'
