in London at such time and place as the Council from time to time may appoint. No Member whose subscription is in arrear shall be entitled to vote or take part in the proceedings of the

Meeting.

YI. The Members of the Council shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Their term of office shall expire at such Annual General Meeting, and they shall be eligible for re- election.

YII. The Council may elect as honorary Members persons distinguished in the study of Folklore, provided that the total number of such honorary Members shall not exceed twenty.

VIII. The accounts of the receipts and expenditure of the Society shall be audited annually by two Auditors, to be elected at the General Meeting.

IX. Every Member (whose subscription shall not be in arrear) shall be entitled to a copy of each of the ordinary works published by the Society.

X. Any Member who shall be one year in arrear of his subscription shall cease to be a Member of the Society, unless the Council shall otherwise determine.

XL No alteration shall be made in these Rules except at a Special General Meeting of the Society, to be convened by the Council or upon the requisition of at least five Members, who shall give fourteen days' notice of the change to be proposed, which shall be in writing to the Secretary. The alteration proposed must be approved by at least three-fourths of the Members present and voting at such Meeting.
