HE being a Kinſman of Playteyſuy firſt Canon of Olmitz, afterward Biſhop, he was nouriſh’d with a great hope of life; therefore the reſt at their farewells congratulating his life commended to him their Wives and Children. But the Miniſter of the word fearing Satans ſtratagems, adviſed him to take heed of ſecurity, and notwithſtanding, to prepare himſelf for the encounter. He coming on the Scaffold, looked about to receive the Newes of his life. And when a youth came to take his cloake he prick’d up his eare to him, hoping that ſome joyfull newes was brought him.

2. When he ſaw there was no hope left, he deſired a Cantionall, and having found a certain ſong, he fell on his knees, and ſung the foure laſt verſes with a loud voice, in this ſence; Therefore we are proſtrare before thee 0 eternall Father! Do not forſake us have, pitty on us through Jeſus Chriſt! We would ſay more but we are not able to expreſſe it. Into thy hands we commend our ſelve, do thou perfect that which thou haſt begun to work in us: Render to us our inheritance that we may ſing, Holy, holy,
