ARTICLE VIII.

The ſlaves, baggage, merchandize, and all other things made prizes of during the attack of the iſland, ſhall be reſtored.

Granted; they ſhall be faithfully reſtored.

ARTICLE IX.

The inhabitants who are abſent, and thoſe in the ſervice of his Britannic Majeſty, ſhall be maintained in their poſſeſſions, and enjoy their goods, by virtue of their proper attornies.

ARTICLE X.

The inhabitants ſhall not be obliged to furniſh lodgings, or any other matters, for the troops, nor ſlaves to work on the fortifications.
