Chap. I.

God createth heaven and earth, and al things therin; distinguishing and beautifying the same. 26. Last of al, the sixth day he createth man; to whom he subjecteth al corporal things of this inferiour world.

IN ″ the beginning God created heaven and earth. Act. 14, 15. 17, 24.2And the earth was void and vacant, and darkenes was upon the face of the depth: and ″ the Spirit of God moved over the waters. Psal. 32, 6. 135, 5.3And God said: Be light made. And light was made. Eccl. 10, 14And God saw the light that it was good: and he divided the light from the darkenes. Heb. 11, 3.5And he called the light, Day, and the darkenes, Night: and there was evening and morning, that made one day. Job 38.6God also said: Be [1] a firmament made amidst the waters: and let it divide between waters and waters. Jer. 10, 13.7And God made a firmament, and divided the waters that were under the firmament, from those that were above the firmament.
