The Italian Editions.
The first Italian edition[1] appeared
in 1847 under the title
"Meditazione sulla Povertà
di Santo Francesco."[2] It is
taken from a Fourteenth-Century
Codex in the Franciscan
Convent of Giaccherino, near
Pistoia. Its editors were the
Lexicographer, Pietro Fanfani,
