Quhilk foverty fall be taken under this condition ■. That crif the partie defender , utherwayes compeir or prefent himfelfe in the place of Juftice , and be round with ony greater number, nor is before fpecifled , their foverties fall be unlawed, as gif they had not com- peted : And the parties defenders, quhahes found the faid fovertie fall be adjudged fugitive fra the Law andputtothehorne, and their efcheit in-brocht, be reafon of the exceffe of the rfaid number, mthe famin maner. asgif they had not compeired. And to the effcel the faidis Aftes may be the better keeped, andforefchewing of defraud of the faidis meafures, and of falfe and uniuft packing of Salmond, Herring, and qulnte-fifh , quhilk is meikic ufedbeunfree-men, fifliers and utheris flayers of the faid fifli , to the great hurt of the free-men , tfur- gefles and Merchandes , and haill commoun weill of this Realme.
