Of which number I of fifteen, the Lords Chancellor, Thefaurer, and Privie fcale, Archbiihops of Saint- Andrews or Glafgow, (jEarle Marlhall, and Earle of Wintown , or any one of them fhall be one, to meet and conveene at Holyrude- Ybouje, or Edinburgh at fuch times and places as they fhail think fit ; And there to profecute and follow forth Jthe valuation of whatfoever teinds, parionage or vicarage within the Kingdome, which arc as yet unvalued. I And alfo to receive the reports from the Subcommillioncrs, appointed within like presbterie, of the valuation of whatfoever teinds, led and deduced before them, according to the tenor of the fubcommifsions direct to that effect. And to allow or diffallovv the fame, according as the fame (hall bee found agreeable or difagree- ablefrom the tenour of their fubcommifsions. And alfo with power to rectifie whatfoever valuations, led or to be led, to the enorme prejudice of the titulars, and co the hurt and detriment of the Kirke, and preju- dice of the Minifters maintenance and provifions, or of his Majefties annuitie. And for the better expeding and advancing of the faid valuations, With po.ver to appoint Committies, or Subcommittees of their owne number, To receive the reports of the faid valuations made or to be made; And to receive, admit and exa- mine witnefles, aud to take parties oathes, with their depositions, where the fame is referred to oath; And to give fuch farther power to the faid Committies or Subcommittees of their owne number, as they fhall think fir for the good of the worke, and fpeedy finifliing oi the fame; Andficklike, wirh power to them if Heed be, to appoint Subcommifsioners, not being of their owne number within any parochin or prchbyterie of the Countrie, for leading and deducing of the laid valuations, and to receive the reports thereof, allow or difallow of the fame: And generally with power to them, to fee downe whatfoever other order or courfe which fhall be thought fit and expedient for difpatch of the laid valuations rectifying thereof or fi nail clofing of the fame. Andficklike, with power to the faid Commifsioners, or any fifteen of them, as faid is, there beino- three of ilk Eftate, with anyone of the perfons of the quorum above- fpecified, after the clofing and allowance of the valuations of ilk Kirke aud Parochin, To appoint, modifie, and fet downe a conftant and local ftipend and maintenance to ilk Miniftcr, to be payed out of the tiends of ilk parochin, according to the tenour of the Arts above-fpecified. Referring like as his Majeftie referres with confent of rhe faid Eftates, to the faid commifsioners, the tryal of the reafons and caufes which may move the faid Commifsioners to goe beneath the quantitie of eight chalder of victual, or of eight hundred markes of money proportionally, in manner contained in the faid Act. And ficklike, with power to the faid Commifsioners, to divide ample and fpacious parochines, where the fame fhall be found neceflarie and expedient, or to unite divers Kirks in whole or in part to others ; And to ratifie and allow after tryal and confideration fuch union or difmembring of Parochines, as hath beene formerly made by vertue of the former Commifsions. And ficklike with pow- er to them, to appoint and provide for fuch odier pious ufes in each parochin, as the eftate thereof may bear. And ficklike, with power to the faid Commifsioners, as faid is, to take order that every heritor and life-renter of lands, fhall have the leading of their own teinds, parfonages and vicarages thereof, they paying the price contained in the Act above-fpecified, incafe they be willing to buy the fame from the titular, having; power to fell, or otherwife paying the rate of teind expreft in the forefaid Act; And to that effect, with power to the faid Commifsioners to kt downe the prices of feiiabie teinds, according to the worth there- of in each part of the ccuntrey , where the fame grow and are bred; And alfo with power to them to fet downe fuch good and ample fecuriries, as may ftand by law, both for the buyers of teinds, to the effect, the titulars may be fully denuded in their favour-. And alfo forfecuritie to the titulars and fellers of the price due to be payed to them for the faid teinds; And alfo to fet downe the fecuritie in favour of the titulars and of the Minifters, fofarre as concernes the maintenance afsigncd to them for good, thankful, and timous pay- ment of the rate of teind, where the fame are not, or cannot be Ibid.
