Act of the Convention of Eſtates

of a new ſupply, of Eighteen Hundred thouſand Pounds Scots Money, to be raiſed and payed forth of the Shires and Burghs of this His Majeſties Ancient Kingdom; in the ſpace of five years, according to the preſent valuations; and that as twenty five Moneths Ceſs, in the whole, being five Moneths yearly, amounting, to three Hundred and ſixty thouſand Pounds Scots, ilk year, at two terms in the year, by equal portions; beginning the firſt terms payment, being One hundred and fourſcore thouſand Pounds, at the Feaſt and Term of Martimas next to come, for the half year immediatly preceeding, commencing from the Term of Whitſonday laſt in this year of God, One thouſand, ſix hundred, ſeventy and eight years, and ſo forth to continue, and paying termly the foreſaid ſum, of one hundred and fourſcore thouſand Pounds Scots, until the Term of Whitfonday, One thoufand, fix hundred, eighty and three years incluſive, which is hereby declared to be the laſt term of the ſaids five years, within which ſpace, the ſaid ſum of Eighteen hundred thouſand Pounds Scots, is due and payable; and that at the proportions underwritten reſpective, being five Moneths Ceſs yearly, by the foreſaid ſpace of five years, which is two Moneths and one half Moneths Ceſs for every Term; That is to ſay;

The Sheriffdom of Edinburgh, the ſum of three thouſand, one hundred, and eighty three pounds, eight ſhillings Scots money, Monethly, for the ſaids five Moneths, for ilk year, during the ſaid ſpace of five years.
The Sheriffdom of Haddington, the ſum of two thouſand, ſeven hundred, eighty two pounds, and ſix ſhillings.
The Sheriffdom of Berwick, the ſum of two thouſand, eight hundred, thirteen pounds, and one ſhilling.
The Sheriffdom of Roxburgh, the ſum of three thouſand, ſix hundred, eighty ſix pounds, ſeventeen ſhillings, and ſix pennies.
The Sheriffdom of Selkirk, the ſum of nine hundred, four pounds, and nine ſhillings.
