Athlone 1857/65, created a BARONET 27 July, 1866; b. 15 Aug. 1800; d. 8 Aug. 1878, having m. 9 Sept. 1833, Anna Maria, eldest dau. of David Henry, of Dublin (ami sister of late Sir Thomas Henry, of Lomlou), ami had a son ami 3 daus. (1) Sir John James, 2nd and present Baronet. (2) Mary, m. 10 Feb. 1858, to Daniel O'Douoghue, of the Glens, M.P. Tralee, and has with other issue a sou, Geoffrey O'Donoghue, b. 16 Jan. 1859. SIR WILLIAM STANLEY, of Hooton (descended from Sir William de Stanleigli, lord of Stomton and Hooton, J.U. brother of Sir John Stanley, k.g. ancestor of the Earls of Derby), created a BARONET, 17 Jime, 1661; m. Charlotte, eldest dau. of Richard, 1st Viscoimt MoljTieux (E. SEFTON). His great-grandson, SIR JOHN STANLEY- ilASSEY-STANLEY, s. his nephew, Sir William, as 6th Baronet, assimied the additional sur- name of Masset, under the will of Sir William Massey, of Puddington, Ches. B.art. and the additional siuname of Stanley, imder the will of his nepliew. Sir William aforesaid ; d. at Hooton 24 Nov. 1794, having m. Mary, dau. of Thomas Clifton, of Lytham, Lane. (B. DONINGTON); she d. 21 May, 1770.
