Dame Jane Halket, heiress of Pitferrane, the eldest dau. of Sir Charles Halket, Bart, of Pitfenane (ext.), and agreeable to the entail of that barony assumed the name of HALKETT, and d. 20 Mar. 1746, aged 86, having had with other issue 2 sons, [1] Sir Peter, 2nd Baronet.
