(1) John, of Milford House, co. Carlow, high sheriff Carlow 1824, and M.P. for that borough 1853/59 ; b. 26 July, 1802; m. 18 Oct. 1848, Esther, eldest dau. of Matthew Brinkley, Esq. of Parsonstown, co. Meath, 2nd son of Right Rev. John Brinckley', lord bishop of Cloyne, and has 5 sons and a dau.
