He m. 25 April, 1791, Harriet Rebecca, dau. of Edward Williams, Esq. of Eaton ilascott, Salop ; she d. 24 July, 1824, having had with other issue 2 sons, /I/ Sir Thomas John, s. as 2nd Baronet. /2/ Charles Tyrivhitt, 9th lancers, b. 21 Mar. 1801; d. July, 1876, having m. 1st— 28 Nov. 1817, Elizabeth, dau. of Admiral Tolleniache, and sister of Lord ToUemache, so created 1875; she d. 3 Dec. 1821. He m. 2ndly— , Oatlierine Alicia, only dau. of James Godfrey (Lill) de Burgh, of Gauls- town, Westmeath; she d. s. p. May, 1837. By his 1st wife he had an only dau. [1] Emily Elizabeth, m. 8 May, 1841, to Ralph Gerard Ley- cester, of Toft Hall, Cheshire; he d. 18 April, 1851, leaving 3 sons and a dau. (1) Rafe Oswald Letcester, of Toft Hall, Cheshire, pricked for sheriff 1872 ; b. 5 July, 1844 ; m. 2 Nov. 1861, Edith, dau. of Hubert de Burgh, Esq. (2) Charles Hugh, b. Oct. 1848. (3) Ernest Gerard, b. Oct. 1849. (4) Georgina Susanna, m. 7 Feb. 1877, to Rev. John Storr, rector of Great Horkersley, Suffolk. Mr. Cn.vRr.ES Tyrwhitt m. 3rdly— 19 Mar. 1838, Jane Maria, dau. of John Clerk, of Southampton, and had an only surviving dau. [2] Emily Blanche, m. Nov. 1868, to Edmond Henry, eldest sou of Rev. Bridgnorth 1818, sheriff Salop 1816 ; b. 12 July, 1793 ; d. 8 Oct. 1839, having m. 13 June, 1821, Elizateth W'ul- wyn. youngest dau. of John M:icnaniara, of co. Clare, and of St. Christophers, West Indies ; she d. 24 June, 1865, leaving 3 sons and 2 dans. (1) Sir Henry, 3rd and present Baronet. (2) Edmund Thomas Tynvhitt, major-gen. late col. Bengal .'J.c. and deputy-inspector-gen. police Meerut 1864/80, served in the GwaUor campaign 1843, and in the Punjab campaign 1848/9, severely woumled, also wounded at battle of Soorooj Khoond; b. 16 Oct. 1825; m. 10 Feb. 1851, Mary Jane, dau. of Rev. James Ford, canon of Exeter, and has had 4 dans. [1] Georgina Harriet, d. Mav, 1868, aged 15. [2] Minnie Charlotte Eliza, m. 12 June, 1878, to Francis William Bromfield, H.M.'s 2/22nd regt.
