Sir THOMAS DALYELL, or DALZIELL, of Binns, capt. in the royal service (son of Gen. Thomas DalyeU, a commander in the Royalist army, taken prisoner at the battle of Worcester, served the Czar of Muscovy during the Common- wealth, and after the Restoration com.-in-chief of the forces in Scotland, P.O. 1660, m.p. co. Linlithgow ; d. 1685), created a Baroxet 7 Nov. 1685 (for his father's services), with the following limitation, " ac post ejus decessmn iu Thomam Dal- ziell ejus filium legitimum natu maximum et heredes ejus masculos et tallie sibi in jiu'e hereditario statu ac familie de Binns succedentes " (see also Milne's List of Nova Scotia Baronets, ante). As no deed of entail can be found, the Baro- netcy must be presumed to be extinct. Sir Thomas m. Catha- rine, dau. of Sir William Drummond, of Riccarton, and had a son and 2 daus. (1) Sir Thomas, 2nd Baronet of Binns, d. unm. 1719, when the male line became extinct. (2) Magdalen, m. to James Menteith, of Auldcathy, whose heirs male have assumed the title of Baronet. (3) Janet, m. to Col. Walter Shairn, of Houston. It is understood that the estate of Binns referred to in the remainder passed from the family in 1841. DICK, (Sir) Heney Page, of Islip Street, Kentish To^vn; b. 1853; 7th in descent from QIR WILLIAM DICK, of Braid, near Edinburgh, M.P. mer- O chant and banker, provost 1638, 9, knighted between 10 Aug. and 17 Nov. 1641 ; d. in London 1655. aged 76, never having been created a Baronet, although that dignity has lieen assumed by successive representatives of the family. Piers Claughton, late bishop of Colombo, formerly chaplain to the forces; b. 14 Feb. 1844; m. 17 Oct. 1872, Edith, youngest dau. of William Charles Went- worth, Esq. formerly president of legislative council, Sydney, and has a dau. Beatrix Leyla Jlarjory Wentworth. (6) William James Colquhoun, forest depart. Bombay; b. 14 .Tan. 1850. Caithness (elder son of John Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Moray, and his wife Anna, eldest dau. of Andrew Fraser, commissar of Inverness), was created a Baronet 10 April, 1700, with remainder to his heirs male. He m. Margaret, dau. of Alexander Sinclair, of Lathron (of the Dunbeath family — see post), and died in 1711 without male issue; when he was succeeded by his brother Sir Robert, of Northfield, who d. 1747, and after the death of his son. Sir Patrick, of Northfield, 3rd Baronet, 5 May, 1763, aged 86, the title was assumed by Alexander Dunlaar, of Newtonn, in consequence of his having been served heir male general of Sir Patrick Dunbar (see below) ; and on 15 Nov. 1854, the arms of " Dame Mary Dunbar-Brander, relict of the late Sir Archibald Dimbar, of Northfield, Baronet of Nova Scotia," son of the said Sir Alexander Dunbar, were matriculated in the Lyon register. (son of Alexander Dunbar, of Altcash, 3rd son of Sir Alexander Dunbar, of Westfield, see Dunbar of Mochnun), m. 1st, Ellen Innes, and 2ndly, Isobel Brodie, and had charters of Sanquhar and of Asliesk. His eldest son of the 2nd marriage, GEORGE DUNBAR, of Asliesk Castle, which he buOt (reg. mag. sig. 19 Dec. 1545). had also charters of Inchbrock, Chapelfield. &.c. and of the heritable mayorship of Moray; d. 13 Aug. 1607, having m. Margaret, dau. of Anderson, of ' Chapelfield. au'l Pittenseir. His descer.dant, ARCHIBALD DUNBAR, of Newtoim and Duffus,onpart of the parish of Duffus, had the arms blazoned above matriculated in the Lyon office 16 July, 1734, in the lifetime i of his father; d. 13 Jan. 1769, aged 76. six years after Sir I Patrick, 3rd Baronet above-named, without having been served heir to the Baronetcy; m. 1735, Helen, younger dau. I and coheir of his then deceased uncle Mr. Archibald Dunbar, I of Thundertoun. and had issue. His eldest surviving son, viz.
