LIFE OF PARNELL.

Celestial themes confess'd his tuneful aid,
And Heaven, that lent him genius, was repaid;
Needless to him the tribute we bestow,
The transitory breath of fame below.
More lasting rapture from his works shall rise,
While converts thank their Poet in the skies.

*** There is a small oval portrait of Parnell, J. Basire fec. prefixed to the Dublin edition of his works, 4to. also Thomas Parnell, D.D. mez. T. H. Dixon, sc. See Granger's Biogr. History of England, vol. i. p. 259.
