dominions. The inhabitants are Opulent and induſtrious; and the Nabob Aſpa-doulah, with other Noblemen, occaſionally reſide here, living in all the caſe and ſplendor of eaſtern luxury, and frequently. indulging themſelves, with their dancing girls. There are ſame good houſes in Leeknow, occupied by merchants and factors; nor is it leſs remarkable for it's cotton manufactories, than for a beautiful kind of porcelain earthen ware.

The Nabob keeps a kind of a military force here, called Burkendaws, who are not ſo uniform in dreſs as the Seapoys. Their arms are match fire-locks, bows and arrows, ſpears, daggers, ſwords, and ſhields.
