DEAR SIR,

HAVING paſſed through a variety of ſcenes in India, we left Calcutta in January 1784, and went by water to Belcoor, a little village about twelve miles down the river, where a Daniſh Eaſt-Indiaman, commanded by a Captain Duck, bound for Copenhagen, lay at anchor waiting for the paſſengers, who embarked with us, and proceeded on our Voyage for Europe.
