Near unto the foresaid Church of S. Ambrose, stands the little Chappel, where S. Augustin with his little Adeodatus and his friend Alippius was baptized, as the words over the Altar testify; and from this little Chappel S. Ambrose and S. Augustin (now a Christian) going processionally to the Great Church, made the Hymn Te Deum,The Hymn Te Deum as they went; one making one Verse, the other another.
