The Gal- of Pictures.17. Behind the Library stands the Gallery of Pictures, where I saw many choice Originals of prime Masters, and some exquisite Copies, as those four Pieces of the Four Elements, which certainly are copied after those that I described above in the House of the Duchesse of Savoy near Turin, called La Valentine. But the rarest Piece of all, either in the Library, or here, is the rare Manuscript kept here, of Alberto Dureo. Three hundred Pounds have been refused for it.
