On the e.xtreme right, in a somewhat retired position, there Avas camped the 2d Division, supported by the 1st Division, or lather by five out of its six battalions (the 93d being at Bala- (rlava) ; and on the left of the 1st Division, but divided from it by a ravine, there was the Light Division. These troops were destined to support that portion of our siege operations whieh was called the 'lliglit Attack.'
