[Enter Janette, waving letter in her hand.

Janette. What's that to you? He's mine. I've won him.

Omnes. You?

Janette. Yes—here's his letter and there's—his heart. [Holds them out.

Impatience. (Snatching letter from her hand and reading it.) Oh, the villain!

Ethelinda. Ain't he awful. [Weeps.

The Rest. (Indignantly.) The flirt. He made love to me.

[Enter Susanna, still holding Mr. Wooley's arm.

Susanna. (Joyously.) Girls, congratulate me. I have won the prize.

All. You?

Susanna. Yes—me. Mr. Woolley—Dick—dear old Dick, has given me his heart.
