1. White Tripela—-The Creta Argentaria of the Antients.

This takes in Ochre, and becomes,
The Common Tripela, or Gleba Alanar.
blue Clay, and becomes,
The Terra Melia of Dioſcorides.
Spar, and becomes,
Hard Chalk,

2. Brown Tripela—called Rotten Stone.

This takes in Spar, and becomes,
The French Rotten Stone.
Talc, and becomes,
The Wiltshire Rotten Stone.

3. Red Tripela.

This takes in Talc, and becomes,
