In the accounts of the second year, 417-416, occur the words — [Tetcrija Teiaifxaxov Vie(f>aXy6a', HXeo/xyoei Av/co[/i.rySovs,] to whom it is recorded that ten talents were paid. Cp. Thuc. V. 84, where Cleomedes the son of Lycomedes and Tisias the son of Tisimachus command the expedition against Melos. In the accounts of the third year, 416-415, more famous names occur — [NiKt'o. NijKT^puTOU J^vSaVTiBr] Koi irapthpo . . and — [o-TpJaT7yyots €? 2t/c€[Xi'av 'AJAki^iuS*/ Aa/xa^^w . . and again — and again — <^TTTT ....(= 14 talents).
