Title 3--The President Presidential Determination No. 2001-06 of December 15, 2000 Suspension of Limitations Under the Jerusalem Embassy Act Memorandum for the Secmtaziy of State Pursuant to the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 7(a) of the }erusalem Em- bassy Act of 1995 (Public Law 104-45) (the "Act"), I hereby determine that it is necessary to protect the national security interests of the United States to suspend for a period of 6 months the limitations set forth in sections 3(b) and 7(b) of the Act. You are hereby authorized and directed to transmit this determination to the Congress, accompanied by a report in accordance with section 7(a) of the Act, and to publish the determination in the Federal Register. Presidential Determination No. 2001-07 of December 19, 2000 Presidential Certification To Waive Application of Restrictions on Assistance to the Government of Serbia and the Government of Montenegro Memorundum for the Secretary of Defense [und] the Secretary of the Treus- u\177F Pursuant to the authority vested in me by the ]aws of the United States, inc]uding section \1775\177 of the Nationa] Defense Authorization Act for Fisca] Year \177\365\3654 (Pub]ic Law 103-\17760), I hereby certify to the Congress that I have determined that the waiver of the app]ication of subsections \1775\177(b) and (c) of Pub]ic Law 103-\17760 is necessary to achieve a negotiated sett]e- ment of the conflict in Bosnia-Herz%ovina that is acceptab]e to the parties, to the extent that such provisions app]y to the furnishing of assistance to the Government of Serbia and to the support of assistance from inter- nationa] financia] institutions to the Government of Serbia and the Govern- ment of Montenegro. Therefore, I hereby waive the app]ication of these provisions with respect to such assistance and support.
