Diagrams 1016.1 to 1018: Longitudinal lines to be laid near the edge of carriageway to indicate to vehicular traffic waiting by vehicles on a side of a length of road is prohibited or restricted.
Note: When one of these type of longitudinal lines is used along the alone, the short transverse line shall be provided at each end. When two or more of these types of lines are used in continuous sequence, the short transverse line shall be provided at each end of the sequence and also at any point where the pattern of the longitudinal lines changes
