SEC. 604. LEGISLATION TO MAKE REQUIRED CONFORMING CHANGES IN LAW
Not later than six months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives a draft of legislation to make any technical and conforming changes to title 10, United States Code, and other provisions of law that are required or should be made by reason of the amendments made by this Act. SEC. 605. GENERAL TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS
(a) The tables of chapters at the beginning of subtitle A, and at the beginning of part I of such subtitle, are amended by striking out the items relating to chapters 3 through 8 and inserting in lieu thereof the following: "2. Department of Defense "3. General Powers and Functions "4. Office of the Secretary of Defense "5. Joint Chiefs of Staff "6. Combatant Commands "7. Boards, Councils, and Committees "8. Defense Agencies and Department of Defense Field Activities

(b) The tables of chapters at the beginning of subtitle A, and at the beginning of part IV of such subtitle, are amended by inserting after the item relating to chapter 143 the following new item: "144. Oversight of Cost Growth in Major Programs
2431".
