(a) Section 205 of the Flood Control Act of 1948 (33 U.S.C. 701s) is amended by striking out "$30,000,000" in the first sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "$40,000,000" and by striking out "$4,000,000" in the third sentence and inserting in lieu thereof "$5,000,000". (b) Section 2 of the Flood Control Act of August 28, 1937 (33 U.S.C. 701g) is amended by striking out "$5,000,000 and inserting in lieu thereof "$7,500,000" and by striking out "$250,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$500,000". (c) Section 14 of the Flood Control Act of 1946 (33 U.S.C. 701r) is amended by striking out "$10,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$12,500,000" and by striking out "$250,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$500,000". (d) Subsection (a) of section 107 of the River and Harbor Act of 1960 (33 U.S.C. 577) is amended by striking out "$25,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$35,000,000". Subsection (b) of such section is amended by striking out "$2,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$4,000,000". (e) Section 3 of the Act entitled "An Act authorizing Federal participation in the cost of protecting the shores of publicly owned property", approved August 13, 1946 (33 U.S.C. 426g), is amended (1) by strUdng out "$25,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$30,000,000", and (2) by striking out "$1,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$2,000,000'\ (f) Section 111 of the River and Harbor Act of 1968 (33 U.S.C. 426i) is amended by striking out "$1,000,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$2,000,000". (g) Section 3 of the Act entitled "An Act authorizing the construction, repair, and preservation of certain public works or rivers and harbors, and for other purposes", approved March 2, 1945 (33 U.S.C. 603a), is amended by striking out "$300,000" and inserting in lieu thereof "$1,000,000". (h) The Secretary is authorized to use the authority contained in section 205 of the Flood Control Act of 1948 (33 U.S.C. 701s), section 2 of the Flood Control Act of August 28, 1937 (33 U.S.C. 701g), section 14 of the Flood Control Act of 1946 (33 U.S.C. 701r), section 107 of the River and Harbor Act of 1960 (33 U.S.C. 577), section 3 of the Act entitled "An Act authorizing Federal participation in the cost of protecting the shores of publicly owned property", approved August 13, 1946 (33 U.S.C. 426g), and section 111 of the River and Harbor Act of 1968 (33 U.S.C. 426i) in the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. (i) The amendments made by this section shall not apply to any project under contract for construction on the date of enactment of this Act.

SEC. 916. FEDERAL REPAYMENT DISTRICT.

(a) The Secretary may enter into a contract providing for the payment or recovery of an appropriate share of the costs of a project under his responsibility with a Federal Project Repayment District or other political subdivision of a State prior to the construction, operation, improvement, or financing of such project.
