of America in Congress assembled, That the consent of Congress be granted wmsm 5, to Captain William Branford Shubrick, flag-oliicer, late commanding in Shubrisk my chief the squadron on the coast of Brazil and the Paraguay expedition, “°°°P° ""' to accept a sword presented to him by his Excellency, J usto Jose de Urquiza, Captain-General and President of the Argentine Confederation, as a mark of his appreciation of the “distinguisbed character" of that officer-—said sword having been worn by the President on the occasion of signing the new act of Confederation of the Argentine States.
