SEC. 601. FISCAL YEAR 2007 INCREASE IN MILITARY BASIC PAY AND REFORM OF BASIC PAY RATES.
(a) WAIVER OF SECTION 1009 ADJUSTMENT.—The adjustment to become effective during fiscal year 2007 required by section 1009 of title 37, United States Code, in the rates of monthly basic pay authorized members of the uniformed services shall not be made. (b) JANUARY 1, 2007, INCREASE IN BASIC PAY.—Effective on January 1, 2007, the rates of monthly basic pay for members of the uniformed services are increased by 2.2 percent. (c) REFORM OF BASIC PAY RATES.—Effective on April 1, 2007, the rates of monthly basic pay for members of the uniformed services within each pay grade (and with years of service computed under section 205 of title 37, United States Code) are as follows: COMMISSIONED Pay Grade O–8 O–7 O–6 O–5 O–4 O–3
