Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury Frank shut:. be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to pay to Frank Shutt, post- P¤S¤¤¤¤¤ *0- l>°¤*· master at Litchiield, Illinois, the sum of one hundred and ninety-three **1 ““°“°*`” ”°°l°”‘ dollars and forty·cents, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to reimburse him for postal funds stolen out of his safe on the tenth day of November, eighteen hundred and eighty-five. _ Approved, February 23, 1887. CHAP. 255.-—An act for the relief of William Ervin. Feb. 24, 1887. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treas- Wi11i¤¤¤ Ervi¤· ury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to William P“F'“°“**°· Ervin, his heirs or assigns, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, seven thousand six hundred and fifty dollars, being the value of one hundred and eighty head of beef-cattle seized unlawfully and taken out of his possession, in the State of Kansas, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-two, by order of Colonel Charles R. Jennison, commanding the Seventh Regiment Kansas Cavalry, United States volunteers, said beeilcattle having been used as subsistence for the officers and soldiers of said regiment.
