Swain, late master of the bark Philena, of Uew York, eight thousand dollars, for going with the said bark and rescuing shipwrecked seamen from an uninhabited island near Cape Horn, at the request of Gorham Parks, then United States consul at Rio de Janeiro, the same having been declared due said Charles F. Swain by recent findings of the Court of Claims. Approved, February 16, 1889. . CHAP. 175.-An act granting arrears of pension to Theodore Rauthe. February 19, 1889. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary rue0d0m mmap. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to Cpay “""°”°’ ¥’“‘*‘°“· to Theodore_Rauthe, late of Company K, Thirteenth New York avalry, arrears of pension, at the rate of thirty-one dollars and twenty- five cents per month, from the twelfth day of September, eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, to the twenty-second ay of July, eighteen hundred and eighty-two. 4 Received by the President February 7, 1889.
