Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the },*;‘:ig;¥1:cB¤¤- I Interior is hereby authorized and directed to place upon the invalid ' pension roll the name of Marcus D. Box, late a private of Company D, First Missouri Volunteer Infantry, afterwards First Missouri Artillery, subject to the limitations of the pension laws, at the rate of twenty- five dollars per month: Provided, That it be shown to the satisfaction gmgh of the Secretary of the Interior that he is totally blind and that such n` condition is not a result of his vicious habits. ' Approved, February 8, 1895. CHAP. 69.-An Act For the relief of John J. Patman. February 8, 1806. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of Amerika in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the J¤h¤_J.P¤¤m¤¤. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place upon P°““‘°“‘ the pension roll the name of John J. Patman, late a private in Captain William U. Anderson’s Company, Major James Woods’s Battalion, Georgia Volunteers, in the Indian war of eighteen hundred and thirty- six, and allow him a pension rated at eight dollars per month. Approved, February 8, 1895. CHAP. 70.-An Act To pension G. O. Greiner, of Texas. —Febmary 8,l85. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the 1¢’g.0·Gr¤i¤¤r· Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place upon °““"”" the pension roll the name of G. 0. Greiner, of Texas, a participant in the Mexican war, and allow him a pension at the rate of twelve doHars per month. Approved, February 8, 1895. CHAP. 71.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Mrs. Margaret Smith. February 8.1895. Be it enacted by the Senate and House ‘of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the pension of twelve Meremc smith dollars per month heretofore granted and now allowed to Mrs. Margaret ,,,}°°§,§’,,‘,§'§, ,§'§°}`§§‘§§‘,l Smith, widow of Richard Smith, deceased, late a member of Company •i¤¤s¤¤¤¤- L, First Michigan Engineers and Mechanics, be, and the same is hereby, increased to the sum of fourteen dollars per month; and that the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to ber the sum last mentioned per month from and after the passage of this Act. Said increase of pension to be for the benefit of her hopelessly idiotic daughter, and to continue only so long as said daughter shall continue to be dependent upon her; but in case of the death oi the widow the pension of fourteen dollars per month shall be paid to the guardian of the daughter, Helena Smith, as long as she may live and continue helpless.
