For partially rerooing, reguttering complete and replacing down spouts on the relief buil ing, two thousand two hundred dollars. For renewinfg plumbing, tiling bath and toilet rooms throughout the entire group o the old buildings, in accordance with the recommendation of the special committee, ten thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary to accomplish the desired changes as quickly as possible, by contract or otherwise. · For special improvements as follows: For the construction of a central storehouse and a refrigerating and cold-storage plant, fourteen thousand five hundred dollars, together with the unexpeuded balance of the sum of eighteen thousand ollars heretofore appropriated for three cottage guildings for working inmates. · For one two-hundred-horsepower engine with one direct connected electric generator, ten thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary to procure the designated machinery. For fireproof stairways for relief building, four thousand dollars. For a kitchen for the detached buildings large enough to provide for one thousand persons, eight thousand dollars. ~—· For the construction of a railroad switch from the present line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to the present boiler house of the hospital and to the site of the progosed boiler house of the extension, as authorized, in case the propose purchase of land is consummated, the balance remaining unexpended of the apzpropriation for construction of a sewerage an drainage system, ava1 ble during the fiscal year ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred, after the ful completion of said sewerage and drainage system, and in addition thereto the sum of fifteen thousand dollars. For water tower, pump house, iire pump, (pipe, hydrants, hose and hose carts and other iire ap ratus, wells an air compressor, thirty- seven thousand five hundredpdollars. For clearing, fencing, buildiqg roadways, and gradingi for the extension as hereinafter describe , twenty-five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may benecessar . _ The board of visitors and the Superintendent shall prepare §lans, ,,§"°““°“ °’ h°“Pl‘ specifications, and estimates for an extension of the hospital su cient toprovide for one thousand patients. Said extension s all be of fireproof construction, and suitable for all special classes of acute insanity. Said plans shall include all necessary domestic buildings and all buildings required for the proper care of one thousand patients and the requisite nurses and em loyees, and shall be approved by the Secretary of the Interior.
