per centum, issued under the Acts of July fourteenth, eighteen hundred and seventy, and January twentieth, eighteen hundred and seventy-one, numbered fifty-two thousand three hundred and fifty-seven, for one thousand dollars, and inscribed in the name of Mary P. Gilmore, now deceased, to Walter S. Glidden and William T. Hall, junior, administrators de bonis non of the estate of said Mary P. Gilmore, upon the said administrators filing a bond in the Treasury, with sufficient sureties, Indemnity bondin such sum as may be determined necessary by the Secretary of the Treasury, and to be approved by him, conditioned to save harmless and indemnify the United States against all legal claims and demands which may be made under said original bond or reissue.

Sec. 2. That this Act shall take effect when approved.

Chap. 2000.—An Act For the relief of the Bank of North Wilkesboro.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the sum of ninety dollars is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the relief of the Bank of North Wilkesboro, at North Wilkesboro, State of North Carolina, for registered letter containing one hundred dollars, addressed to Treasurer of the United States, Redemption Division, Washington, District of Columbia, which was burned in railroad wreck near Charlottesville, Virginia, about March twenty-second, nineteen hundred and two.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two hundred dollars to Jacob Swigert, late deputy collector, seventh district of Kentucky, the said sum of money being payment in full to said Jacob Swigert on account of loss of twenty ten-dollar documentary stamps during the month of January, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue to the estate of Artemus E. Gibson, deceased, duplicates in lieu of United States four per centum registered bonds of the funded loan of nineteen hundred and seven, numbered one hundred and ten thousand four hundred and seventy-nine and one hundred and ten thousand four hundred and eighty for one hundred dollars each, and ninety thousand three hundred and ninety-eight for one thousand dollars, inscribed in name of said Artemus E. Gibson and alleged to have been lost or destroyed: Proviso.Indemnity bondProvided, That the legal representative of the estate of said Artemus E. Gibson shall first file in the Treasury a bond in a sum equal to the amount of the principal of said bonds and the interest
