[Private, No. 1356.] Be it enacted by the Senate and House (pf Representate}ves of the Lbuted States of America tn. Congress assemble That Colonel John V. Furey, John wummm. assistant quartermaster- neral, United States Army, be, and he is Su§},“gf}°°*° °h°°"** hereby, authorized and diiected to issue to John Wanamaker a dupli- ` cate of an original check, issued by the said John V. Furey on the twenty-eighth ay of July, nineteen undred and two, numbered sixt - three thousand and twent —four, upon the assistant treasurer of the United States at Philadelphia, in favor of the said John Wanamaker, for the sum of two thousand nine hundred and twenty-one dollars and seventy-three cents, which check is alleged to have been lost in transmission from the office of the assistant quartermastengeneral in the city of Philademhia to the said John Wanamaker, and it not havin been presented or payment to the assistant treasurer of the United States at Philadelphia: Hovtded, That said duplicate check shaH be mm. issued under such redgulations in regard to its issue and payment as B°”°’°t°‘ have been prescribe by the Secretary of the Treasury for the issue of duplicate checks under the provisions of sections thirty-six hundred 1%,]%. 3646,8647. and forty-six and thirty-six hundred and forty-seven of the Revised W ’

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of {{{grantee}}}, {{{quality}}}, and pay him a pension at the rate of {{{rate}}} dollars per month.
