P- 273- of the Indian meridian, in Cleveland County, Oklahoma Territory, the same being a portion of the lands reserved to said Territory for common school purposes, be, and the same is hereby, granted to the regents · of the University of Oklahoma, to be and become thegnroperty of the University of Oklahoma for the purpose of being use for and securing a proper campus and grounds for building purposes for the use of the said university, but no indemnity either in money or in land Hgh, be Bx_ shall be allowed the State of Oklahoma for this section: Provided, cnnlgsa, ew., ro: That the board of regents of the university may use or dispose of and °"‘" “°‘ convey any portion of said grounds for the purpose of acquiring · grounds contiguous to the present grounds belou ing to said university and to enlarge the campus and grounds for building and campus pur- ' poses in connection therewith. '·°¤°¤· Sec. 2. That the leases to the present tenants thereon, made by the board for leasing school lands of the Territory of Oklahoma, shall remain in full force and effect until their respective expirations, and that the governor of the Territory of Oklahoma shall appoint, on the application of the board of regents of said University of Oklahoma, pygjggl °* *1** three disinterested freeholders of said county to appraise the value of the improvements on said lands belonging to the essees thereof, and such improvements shall be appraise at the fair, reasonable value N°'-"~'°· thereof, and the said appraisers shall give ten days’ notice of the time when such appraisement shall be made by posting the same in a conspicuous place on each quarter section of said lands, and shall take an oath fairly and impartially to appraise the improvements of the said lessees on said lands at the fair, reasonable value thereof, and shall R°P<·"- make report of such appraisement and file the same with the governor of the Territory of Oklahoma with such oath, and the board ot regents of P“’“““"‘ said University of Oklahoma shall immediately pay the amount so iixed to the treasurer of the Territory of Oklahoma for the use of such _f*°*":{*· lessees and have immediate possession of said lands: 1’rovid¢d, That Weif either the board of regents of said University of Oklahoma or said lessees shall feel themselves a grieved by the valuation of such apprais- “°“"· ers, they may within thirty iiys from the filing of such report with the governor of the Territory appeal to the district court of said county by tiling notice with the governor of said Territory and filing a bond to be approved by the governor conditioned that such person or said board of regents will prosecute such appeal to effect and _ _ _ without unnecessary elay, and pay all costs and ]ll(lgI]l€‘I1tS that may d(;’!;fd‘°‘“*‘*°‘“"“‘"“` beawarded against them in said proceeding.
