A PROCLAMA'1‘ION WHEREAS, By Proclamations, the President of the United States ,§,,,,’“"'*‘ ’°'”'·' ‘¤ has, at various times, created certain National Forwts, within the l’¤K¤¤•· State of Idaho; and WHEREAS, In order to provide for a proper adjustment of the claims of the State to lands within said National Forests, in satisfaction of its common school grant, a memorandum of agreement was entered into under date of ctober 4, 1911, between the Secretary of the Depar·tment_of Agriculture and the Governor of the State of Idaho, whereby it was agreed that the said State should relin uish all its title or c aim under its grant in aid of common schools to Iands mcluded within the said National Forests, prior to surv , the whole or parts of sections 16 and_36, in each township, anedlbe allowed to select other lands equivalent m acregge and value lying along and within the boundaries of said National orests, in such position that, when eliminated therefrom, all of said selected lands will lie outside the new exterior boundaries of the National Forests; and WHEREAS A memorandum of agreement was entered into, under date of December 10, 1912, between the Forester, the Associate Forester, the Governor of Iddio, and the State Land Commissioner of Idaho, whereby it was agreed, as a part of the said agreement of October 4, 1911, at the State will accept approximately 275,000 acres of public lands located in Bannock, Binilzam, and Bonneville Counties ang adacent to and adj ' the Can u National Forest; and WIIAZREAS, It ap t the public interests would be pro- X$_Q”°l;f’{’,,,’f·’°'°· moted by modifying mo proclamations of the Kamksu, Ps{ette ' Pend Oreille National Forests, so as to allow the State of daho, in furtherance of the aforesaid agreements, to make selections of the lands agreed upon for selection, and hereinafter described, as mdemnity in satisfaction of the aforesaid poruons of its common school grant; - Now, therefore, I, William H.
