A PROCLAMATION F°'{§§{'§°w_ N““°"“ WHEREAS, Executive Orders signed May fourth, nineteen him- Pminhlc- dred and fourteen, A ril sixth, nineteen hundred and fifteen, and May tenth, nineteen hunciied and sixteen, modified the boundaries of the Toiyabe National Forest, in the State of N evaga, by excluding certain lands therefrom, and by adding certain lan thereto; and WHEREAS, it appears that the public good will be promoted by excluding certain lands from such National Forest, and restoring the public lands subject to disposition in the excluded areas in the V°'·*i»P·*'**· manner authorized by Public Resolution Number Twenty-nine _ _ _ approved February fourteenth, nineteen hundred and twenty. ·,}Q{_“ · ow, therefore, I, WARREN G. HARDIN G, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the lpower in me vested by the Act of Co?ess approved June fourth, eig teen hundred and ninety- seven (30 tat., 11 at 34 and 36), entitled "An Act Makinghappropiiations for sundry civil expenses of the Government for the Egcal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and_ ninety-eigrht and or other purposes," do proclaim that the bonmdarres of the oiyabe National orest are here y changed to exclude the areas indicated as Elimiriations on the diagram hereto annexed and forming a part ereo . r. ,,pE,,‘§§“"§,° s,,m.,l§’,’§Z And I do further proclaim and make known that pursuant to the wmgégjg ggfywgf aforesaid Public Resolution of Februar; fourteenth, mneteen hundred and twenty, it is herebgr ordered that the public lands in the excluded areas, subject to vali rights and the provisions of existing withdrawals or reservations, shall be opened only to homestead and desert land entry by qualified ex-service men of the War with German , under the terms and conditions of said resolution and the reguliitions issued thereunder, for a period of sixty-three days begpning with the sixty-third day from and after the date hereof. U¤é°g°g;“m¤}_;£{ d I do also hereby direct and provide, under the authority Kane. reposed in me by the Act of September thirtieth, nineteen hundred v°"“*" “°‘ and thirteen (38 Stat., 113), that for a period of seven days following the expiration of such sixty-three day preference period, any of sai lands remamiug unentered shall be opened to homestead entry only by any qualified entryman; and thereafter to appropriation under anyrpublic land law applicable thereto. m*fm¤¤ °PP“°*“°“s· ospectrye applicants mag, dining the period of twenty days preceding the ate on whic the lands shall become subject to entig se ection or location of the form desired under the provisions of t proclamation, execute their applications in the manner provided by law and present the same, accompanied by the required payments, to the proper United States land office in person, by mail, or otherwise, and all alpplications so filed, together with such as ma be submitted at the our fixed, shall be treated as though simui taneously filed and shall be disposed of in the manner prescribed by existing regulations.
