A PROCLAMATION M*°“"° N•“°°•‘ Whereas, ita ears that the public ood will be romotedb add' r°1>i;hii»i4ii[ u` certain lands inpNew Mexico tg the l&anzano Naltional Foreglt; mg $:¤;:*°¤?;*5 Now, therefore, I, CALVIN COOLIDGE, President of the United ‘ '°‘ States of America, bylivirtue of the power in me vested by the act of E Congress approved - arch third, eighteen hundred and ninety-one (26 tat., 1095), entitled, "An Act To repeal timber-culture laws, V<>*·3°·P·°°- and for other purposes", and also by the act of Congress approved June fourth, eighteen and ninety-seven (_30_ Stat., 11 at 34 36), entitled, ‘ An Act Makingl atpspropr1ations_ for sundry civil eapenscs of the Government for the cal year ending June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, and for other purposes", do proclaim that the boundaries of the Manzano National Forest are ereby changled to include the areas indicated as additions upon the diagram ereto annexed and forming a part hereof. ,,,,1E$&‘?'·"“· °°°· The withdrawal made by this proclamation shall, as to all lands which are at this date legally appropriated under the dpublic land laws, or embraced in a proper application to enter un er the rovisions of the stock raising homestead law, or reserved for any pulblic purpose, be subject to, and shall not interfere with or defeat legal rights under such appropriation, nor prevent the des` ation of the lands embraced m such application and allowance tigzlreof, nor the use for such public purpose of lands so reserved, so long as such claims are 1 all maintained or such reservation remains in force.
