Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the c onsen t of Congre ss is hereby grant ed to the hi ghway d epartm ent of the S tate of Alabama and its successors and assigns, to construct, maintain, and operate a free highway bridge and approaches thereto across the Coosa Ri ver at a point sui table to the inter ests of n avigation, near Cedar Bluff in Cherokee County, State of Alabama, in accordance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to regulate the con- struction of bridges over navigable waters," approved March 23, 1906 .
