United States of America in Congress assembled, That in order to American Bridge and facili tate i nterst ate co mmerce, impr ove the posta l serv ice, a nd pro - Fer ry , C ompa ny ~sm vide for military and other purposes, the American Bridge and Wis. Ferry Company (Incorporated), its successors and assigns, be, and is hereby, authorized to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Mississippi River, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation, at or near the village of Cassville, Grant Coun ty, W iscon sin, and a poi nt op posi te in Clay ton Count y, Io wa, Construct ion . in accodance with the provisions of the Act entitled "An Act to vol. 34,p.84. regulate the construction of bridges over navigable waters," approved Marc h 2 3, 1 906, and sub ject to the con diti ons and lim itat ions contained in this Act .
