Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Indiana may bridge, United States o f America in Congress assembled, That in order to between Lawrence- burg, Ind ., and Colum- pr omote in terstate commerc e, impro ve the P ostal Se rvice, a nd provi de bid Park, ohio, for mili tary and other p urposes, the Stat e of Ind iana, ac ting by and through its State highway commission and the successors of said commission, be, and is hereby, authorized to construct, maintain, and operate a bridge and approaches thereto across the Miami River, at a point suitable to the interests of navigation between Lawrenceburg, Dearborn County, Ind ia na, and a poi nt in Hamilton Const ruction .

SEC . 2. That there is hereby conferred upon the State of Indiana, approaches, etc . acting' by and through its State highway commission and the suc- ces sors of said com mission, all suc h rights and pow ers to e nter upo n lands and to acquire, condemn, occupy, possess, and use real estate and other property needed for the location, construction, maintenance, and operation of su ch bridge and its approaches as are possessed by r ailroad corporat ions for railroad purpose s or by bridge c orpora- tions for bridge purposes in the State in which such real estate or other property is situated upon making just compensation therefor, Condem nation pro - to b e ascert ained an d paid' a ccording to the laws of such Sta te, and ceedings .

That in fixing the rates of toll to be charged for the use of such bridge the same shall be so adjus ted as to provide a fund suffic ient to pay for the reas onable c ost of m aintaini ng, repa iring, and ope rati ng the bridge and its ap proa ches , un der econ omic al management, and to provide a sinking fun d suf fi cie nt to amortize such bonds or other securities as may be legally issued by said State for the cost of su ch bridge and its approaches, with reasonable financing ch arg es and red em pti on provisions, as so on as possible Maintenance as free under reasonable tolls, but within a period of not to exceed twenty bridge, etc ., after amor years from the completion thereof . After a sinking fund, including ruing costs .
