Article VII of the Convention of September 10, 1923, for the hear- ing, examination and decision of claims for loss or damage accruing during the period from November 20, 1910 to May 31, 1920, inclu- sive, shall be and the same hereby is extended for a time not exceed- ing two years from August 17, 1929, the day when pursuant to the provisions of the said Article VII, the functions of the said Commission would terminate in respect of such claims. Limitation. It is agreed that nothin~ con- tained in this Article shall ill any wise alter or extend the time originally fixed in the said Con- vention of September 10, 1923, for tho presentation of claims to the Commission, or confer upon the Commission any jurisdiction over any claim for loss or damage accruing prior to November 20, 1910, or subsequent to May 31, 1920. Castle, junior, Secretario de Estado en funciones de los Estl1dos Unidos; y El Presidente de 10'3 Estados Unidos Mexicanos, a Su Exce.. lencia Senor Don Manuel C. Tellez, Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos en Washing- ton; QUIENES, despues de haberse comunicado mutuamente sus plenos poderes respectivos, ha- llandolosen buena y debida forma, han convenido en los siguientes Artfculos: ARTICULO I Las Altas Partes Contratantes convienen en que el plazo fijado por el Articulo VII de la COLven- ci6n del 10 de septiembre de 1923, para la audiencia, examen y decisi6n de reclamaciones por perdida 0 danos acaecidos durante el perlodo del 20 de noviembre de 1910 al 31 de mayo de 1920, inclusive, se prorrogue, y por la presente se prorroga, durante un plazo que no exceda de dos aiios contados desde el17 de agosto de 1929, dia en que, segUn las dispo- siciones de dicho Articulo VII, terminarlan las funciones de tal Comisi6n por 10 que toca a esas reclamaciones. Se conviene en que nada de 10 contenido en este Articulo altern o prorroga en modo alguno el plazo fijado originariamente en dicha Convenci6n de 10 de sep- tiemble de 1923 para la presenta- ci6n de reclamaciones a la Comi- si6n, ni confiere a esta jurisdicci6n alguna sobre rec1amaciones por perdida 0 daii03 acaecidos con anterioridad al 20 de noviembre de 1910 0 posterioridad al 31 de mayo de 1920.
