Diego be dispensed with, and it the said city so elects and upon mentt payment by said city as compensation for such lands, rights, interests, and damages of the additional sum of $35,567 .20, the Secretary of the Interior of the United States is hereby authorized and directed to issue to said city a patent in fee simple conveying all the rights, titles, and interests of the said Indians and of the United States
