Narcotics Bureau . Salaries and expenses : For expenses to enforce the Act of Decem- Salaries and expenses . ber 17, 1914 (U .S .C ., title 26, sec . 211), as amended by the Revenue Vol. 38, p .785; Vol. Act of 1918 (U.S.C., title 26, sets. 691-708), the Act approved 6140 342,p°5965' p ' February 9, 1909, as amended by the Act of May 26, 1922 (U .S.C ., 795 .S.C., pp. 635, 742, tit le 21, sees . 171-184), known as the Narcotic Drugs Import and Vol. 44, p. 13s1; Vol. Export Act, pursuant to the Act of March 3, 1927 (U .S .C ., Supp . 44u S5C5, Supp . VII,p. VI, title 5, sets . 281-281e), and the Act of June 14, 1930 (U.S.C., 28- Supp . VI, title 5, sees. 282-282c), including the employment of Executive officers , executive officers, attorneys, agents, inspectors, chemists, supervisors, per sonnel, etc . clerks, messengers, and other necessary employees in the field and in the Bureau of Narcotics in the District of Columbia, to be appointed as authorized by law ; the securing of evidence of viola- ia se o~ oev dente of tions of the Acts ; the costs of chemical analyses made by others Chemi cal analy ses . than employees of the United States ; the purchase of such supplies, equipment, mechanical devices, books, and such other expenditures as may be necessary in the several field offices ; cost incurred by officers and employees of the Bureau of Narcotics in the seizure, Seizures, etc. storage, and disposition of property under the internal revenue laws when the same is disposed of under section 3460, Revised R .S.,see. 3460,p.685. COA ST GUARD Office of the commandant : For personal services in the District of Columbia, $300,000 . The services of skilled draftsmen and such other technical services as the Secretary of the Treasury may deem necessary may be employed only in the office of the Coast Guard in connection with the construction and repair of Coast Guard vessels and boats, to be paid from the appropriation "Repairs to Coast Guard vessels" : Provided, That the expenditures on this account for the fiscal year 1935 shall not exceed $10,890 . A statement of the persons employed hereu nder, their duties , and the co mpensat ion pa id to each s hall b e made to Congress each year in the Budget . For every expenditure requisite for and incident to the authorized work of the Coast Guard, including the expense of maintenance, repair, and operation of vessels forfeited to the United States and delivered to the Treasury Department under the terms of the Act approved March 3, 1925 (U .S .C ., title 27, sec . 41), and the mainte- Coa st Guard .
