Be it enacted by the Senate and H()USe of Repre8entative8 of the United States of A1I1AJrWa in Oongress as8embled, That the United States Employees' Compensation Commission is hereby authorized to consider and determine, in the same manner and to the same extent as if application for the benefits of the Employees' Compensation Act had been made within the one-year period required by sections 17 and 20 thereof, the claim of Laura B. Crampton, on account of injuries alleged to have been sustained by her employment in the service of the United States as an oral hygIenist at the United States Veterans' Administration Hospital at San Fernando, California: Provided, That she shall file notice of such injury and claim for compensation therefor not later than sixty days from the enactment of this Act: And provided fwther, That no benefits shall accrue prior to the enactment of this Act. It shall be unlawful for any agent or agents, attorney or attorneys, to exact, collect, withhold, or receive any sum of the amount appro- priated in this Act in excess of 10 per centum thereof on account of services rendered in connection with said claim, any contract to the contrary notwithstanding. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Repre8entative8 of the United States of A.merica in Oongress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise apfropriated, to Morris Spirt of Waterbury, Connecticut, the sum 0 $1,500 in full settlement of all claims agamst the Government of the United States. Such sum is the amount of a fine paid on such date into the Treasury of the United States pursuant to a plea of guilty to an indictment for v~olation of certain prov!sions of t~e Act entitled "An Act to pro- VIde further for the natIonal secunty and defense by encouraging June 18, 1934.
